STUBBS ISLAND WHALE WATCHING
ENJOY THE JOURNEY!

Picture yourself cruising in comfort through the protected waters of the Inside Passage in Johnstone Strait and Blackfish Sound in search of orcas and humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions, porpoises and other marine mammals, resident and migrating bird species.

You have to see this for yourself!

Every trip into this exciting and uniquely diverse, natural marine environment is different. We operate in the wild so will never guarantee specific sightings or behaviour. The anticipation and unknown is part of the adventure and excitement!

OUR 3 HOUR INTERPRETIVE WHALE WATCHING ADVENTURES
depart daily from mid-May through October

At the start of the season

May through mid-July

Our tours focus on the diverse wildlife that lives, feeds and breeds in the nutrient rich waters of this remote, wild area of Vancouver Island North. We will be keeping an eye out for the majestic humpback whales that are returning each year in increasing numbers. If you are lucky you may even see an orca. If you do it is likely to be a transient (mammal eating) or Biggs Orca on the hunt for food.

During peak season

Mid/late July through mid-September

The waters between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia are home to the magnificent orca (Killer Whales). Our protected waters provide an ideal location and one of the most predictable to view and listen to the Northern Resident (fish eating) orcas and other marine mammals as they feed, socialize and raise their young. Every trip into this diverse natural environment is different but nothing is guaranteed.

AT ONE WITH NATURE WE LISTEN & PROTECT

There will always be time to relax, listen, discover and reflect on the beauty of nature in this pristine coastal environment. Our onboard marine naturalists will share important facts with you along the way, while our Captains and crew ensure your comfort and safe passage.
