Our tours focus on the diverse wildlife that lives, feeds and breeds in the nutrient rich waters of this remote, wild area of Vancouver Island North. We will be keeping an eye out for the majestic humpback whales that are returning each year in increasing numbers. If you are lucky you may even see an orca. If you do it is likely to be a transient (mammal eating) or Biggs Orca on the hunt for food.
The waters between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia are home to the magnificent orca (Killer Whales). Our protected waters provide an ideal location and one of the most predictable to view and listen to the Northern Resident (fish eating) orcas and other marine mammals as they feed, socialize and raise their young. Every trip into this diverse natural environment is different but nothing is guaranteed.
